Mario, freaking, Lemeiux (or however it's spelled). Well, today during POTG's Party XXX-Travaganza, i've come to the conclusion that Mario Lemeiux can score on anything. One timers, breakaways, crap, even women. His entire team on NHL 2002 for the PS2 is rated a paltry 78, but for some NO WAY reason, Mario can score on any Goalie, even the great Hasek. I know at one point in time he was hailed as the greatest Hockey Player in this Universe (even compared to Gretsky), but it's like he scores at will. It doesn't matter, the sucker pulls hat tricks every game, can score from the blue line and probably from behind the net.
Oh yeah, the 'batarang' controller POTG sticks me with sucks too.

G's up, Ho's down. This is gonna be an action packed weekend! Tonight...I don't know what the hell i'm doing. But drinks will be served, I guarantee that. Tommorow is the BBQ RUCKUS IN SAN MARCOS (on Pay-Per-View) as we celebrate the 25th Annual Poyfather's Birthday XXX-Travaganza. I've tried talking him into going to the HOOWWWLLAWEEN party later that night, but doesn't look likely. Another Saturday filled with Beef, friends, Ice-House Lager (bleaauurrgh) and other stuff that amuses PGBCO.
Another amusing story I just remembered: When my brother and sister were at The Gap last night, this gang of AZN's walked in, all looking like a malformed version of my little brother. I jokingly said: "It's like the Gremlins, if you threw water on Johnny (my brother) those fuckers would sprout out." Everybody thought it was amusing, except for Johnny. Hahahaha...

Song of the Day. I didn't like this track off U2's new album, All the things you can't leave behind, when I first heard it, but it's growing on me. This is the acoustic version, which is very good.

1. U2 - Stuck in the Moment (Acoustic).

Last night went shopping with my little brother and little sister. I was trying to get this JCrew jacket I saw they had on their site, but when we went to the store (the only one in Austin) at Highland Mall, they didn't have it in stock. So we went to all the other stores. I was pretty close to getting one of those outlandish FUBU or Tommy Boy jackets, with the red white and blue and gaudy as all hell. Too bad huh? We went to Carraba's (i got duped, I thought it was a Serranos) across from the mall for dinner where everybody filled up on free bread and made a run for the door. Ha, just kidding.

The H-Dog wants to go Inter-Continental. Man, I was thinking about it, but a European tour would be sweet. I was able to find a two week one with Round-Trip Air Fare for roughly $2,500 a person. I'm not too sure when I wanna do this or hell, if anybody would want to come with me. This particular one goes to France the first week and then Italy the second week. Check it here.

This week has been a treasure trove of musical delight! Yeah, that was corny. I got another juicy joint for you internet people to sink your teefus into. This one is from the ex-lead singer of the Alt-County (or Ya'llternative) band Whiskeytown, Ryan Adams. This is actually from his previous album, his new one 'Gold' is out now.
More Song of the Day:
1.) Ryan Adams - To Be Young.

Holy! I'm stretching the fabric of time and space to present to you the Songs of the Day. Heartbroken? Down and Out? These songs will make you remember your Middle School Cafeteria (you know, the dances) and make you cringe in the process. Check it.
Songs of the Day:
1.) Richard Marx - Hold on to the night.
2.) Richard Marx - Right here waiting for you.
I'll give you a personal thank you for the first person to email me the answer to this question: "What the hell happened to Richard Marx?"

The continuuation of Hza's favorite albums of all time. As mentioned below, that was a truncated list, so this is the extension.
The Rolling Stones - Let it Bleed & Exile on Mainstreet | Let it Bleed is a high-glossed tomb of very good rock songs, from You Can't Always Get What You Want to Gimme Shelter. Exile on Mainstreet however sounds the opposite. A sonic wall of honky tonk and blues, it contains my favorite Stones song of all time: Tumbling Dice. Get em to get your Ya-Ya's out.
The Beatles - All of them. | There is no bad Beatles records.
Jeff Buckley - Grace | I first listened to this album way back in...96' or something. At the time, it didn't really register with me, but years later, there is nothing more beautiful than this record. Jeff's voice just kind of floats on top of everything and his lyrics hit close to home.
The Stone Roses - The Second Coming | Way back in the day, my little brother and I went to those Blockbuster Music tent sales where they had boxes and boxes stuff with discount CD's (usually crap like CC Peniston or Kenny G) but I found this album in one box. I remembered that I really dug that one single they had released from this album Love Spreads. I picked it up and it's one of the best records i've ever heard. Equal parts British Pop and Blues-Rock. John Squire is a guitar god.
Pearl Jam - Ten & Vitalogy | I do think Vitalogy is a more mature album, but Ten is in the books for being a damn good album too. Classico.
U2 - Achtung Baby | Not as good as The Joshua Tree, but songs like Mysterious Ways and one of the greatest pop songs ever written, One, make it on my list.
Sebadoh - Bake Sale | The quentissential lo-fi rock record. College Kids from the 90's will remember this one.
More to come once I wake up from my deep slumber. Peace out.

Got's some time to kill. I got about 30 minutes until I book to my math class. I kinda wish I worked in a restaurant store that is 'buzzing' with cash, like in the movies. Like we come up with some special recipe for ravioli or something, word get's out and there's always that lady at the cash register taking orders with a big shit eating grin on her face: "I can barely keep up! (With fist full of money) What's that? Two more Special Ravioli H-Dog!". Of course, they'd find out later that the special ingredient was something short of dog semen. I know, that's gross, but it's funny...would make a great skit!
Song of the Day:
1.) Spacehog - In the Meantime.

Back on the Plane again. Since the H-Dog didn't accomplish anything the last trip to California, I'm going back from the 6th thru the 9th of November. Sigh. That means more classes missed. Oh man, by the way, I got an 80 on the C++ Exam, the one where The General and I didn't know what 40% of the questions asked by the instructor meant. Anyways, I think I will stay in that class.

Damn you Tylenol PM. Blasted Tylenol PM wrecked my world up last night. That's the last time I take it at 11:30PM. I woke up late for work, now have to go in half the day. Oh well. I'm still feeling groggy from the effects, so me thinks this will be the last time I take that shite.

PARROTS! Man, I was over my brother's house teaching my niece the 1-2-3's and A-B-C's and such when my bro's wife comes in and says: "Hey H-Dog (Hai) can you help me get Elvis in his cage?" Elvis is this like, 600 lbs. Parrot that my brother has. So I said why the hell not. So i'm talking to my brother over the phone on how to get him in his cage: "You have to put the gloves on and wrap all your exposed skin in towels.." WHAT?! I do what he says and approach the parrot, while listening to the instructions. I tell him (Elvis) to get onto my arm for like, 20 minutes and he won't budge, just starts gawking and flapping his wings. Eventually I get him on, try to back away from the cage and then nudge him in backwards into the cage, but he turns around and get's on top of the cage. This happens about two to three more times.
Meanwhile, my brother's wife tells me about all the scars she's got from the parrot's razor sharp admantium laced claws. I start wondering "What the hell am I doing." I get him on, almost get him in the cage, but the little dude won't get off the glove so I try to push him out, when suddenly all I see is this monstrous beak coming at my face, so I freak out. I pull my arm out of the cage (while Elvis is still on my arm, trying to lunge at my EYES) and then he starts flapping so I throw my arm out with the glove and bird flying. I start running for the living room and he lands on the kitchen floor while my niece and sister-in-law are laughing their asses off. The bird is so afraid of me he won't gimme another chance to throw down with him, so eventually we get him into the cage. Bah, stupid flying mammals.

Sushi! Yo, the H-Dog has been hankering for some lately. I used to not like it, but some ladies at work gave me some the other week and I've been going nuts over the stuff. I'll leave the more exotic stuff on the side, but some of the standard rolls are just too sweet to pass up!

Some of H-Dog's favorite albums of all time, in no particular order. I'm in a music mood, so I'm going to list some of my personal favorite albums:
U2 - The Joshua Tree | What a great album. This has all the classic jams and you don't even have to be a fan of 80's music to enjoy the rock. With or Without You, Bullet The Blue Sky? Yeah, that's right..
Radiohead - The Bends | I really can't think of any other album that is this good from the first to last track. Every single one of these songs is excellent and should be on your shortlist of file stealing songs.
Wu-Tang Clan - Enter the 36 Chambers | One of the funniest hip hop albums of all time. The rhymes are good, the beats are dope (as Wally likes to say) and each member has their own personality.
Counting Crows - August and Everything After | Despite what POTG may say, The General and I still believe this is SLIGHTLY better than Recovering The Satellites (which is a damn good album in itself).
Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream | People say Gish is a better album, but this is the the first Pumpkins album I ever bought, actually I think it was the first CD I ever bought as well. And my ex-girlfriend (when we were friends) gave me a copy of the tape before. Loads of memories on this one boys and girls.
Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine | Rage's first album is probably their finest. It's the rawest and most viceral.
Outkast - Aquemini | There are so many 'bumpin' tracks on this, it's not even funny. There are maybe one or two un-'krunk' (hahaha) tracks, but the rest of the album makes up for that.
Beastie Boys - Check Your Head | The first Beastie's album of the nineties (ok maybe Paul's Boutique, but i can't remember right now). This has more instrumental funk than the sampling of previous records. And the Beasties are so freaking funny.
Well, I got more, but I gotta go to class!

These songs are amazing! I came across two gem's today in modern music. The first one is from the always cooking Afghan Whigs doing a cover of the classic Clash jam Lost in the Supermarket. The odd thing is, they use the beat from Train in Vain but the song is sung as Lost in the Supermarket (you can hear him repeat some chorus lines from Train in Vain towards the end)..FREAKING AMAZING, YEAH!
The other one is from The Strokes, a Manhattan band, with their lo-fi, late sixties-ish guitar riffs. This song totally blows me away, such a good groove. Check them out!
More Songs of the Day, Monday Edition:
1.) Afghan Whigs - Lost in the Supermarket.
2.) The Strokes - Last Nite.

Slow day at work. Well, i'm pretty much done with everything that I can think of. I wish I could leave early, but why? Easy money baby. I read over at Dames site that he ran for Willie Nelson and his Farm Aid 5K organization. Too bad they don't have a Farm Aid 5K where you watch 5,000 hours of horrible television programming, then you would of had it made Dames! hahahaha... I think this Halloween, i'm going to go take my little neice, Savannah, out trick or treating. I would suggest she dress up in a ghoulish costume, like Richard Simmons, Will or Grace or even Dawson Leary (or whatever his name is), but most likely she'll go as a ballerina.
Funny story, she's taking Ballet classes but calls it "bowling classes". I got excited and really thought she was taking Bowling Classes, but then my sister told me it was ballet. So no Uncle instruction here.

Heyyyooo! Mike Todd's comic book factory is in full swing! He's now taking made to order requests for super heroes that he'll design and put up on his webpage. Yesterday I sent him an idea for a character called: The Holy Obstruction. It's about a Comic Book Collector who, by day, works at a Bar/Church. He is hit with an epiphany and is transformed into the Holy Obstruction. His super poweres include the ability to see through certain materials, like glass or ceran wrap and fly when his thoughts are free of sin. You can check out the image here. You can check on Wally's homepage as well on the left over there.

MTV and the Sept. 11th Attacks. I was watching MTV earlier today and they had a special where that one VJ is interviewing people in regards to the Sept. 11th attack. Apparently, the content programmers decided to pick RAP ARTISTS as the definitive source for social commentary. When Jadakiss was asked about the backlash against Muslim-Americans, he replied with something like: "Uhhhh, i mean..that's life." What the hell is this shit? If the late Biggie Smalls (may he rest in peace) was here, i'm pretty sure he'd have a lovely dissertation on the socio-economic state of America, immortalized in his song Last Day from the Life after Death album:
Uhh, uhh, uhh
Who the fuck wanna squeeze?
Who else is a good source of moral and social commentary? I'm sure Rhodes Scholar Nelly and his old 'Young Americans for Democracy' club members from Cornell, The St. Lunatics, would love to talk to MTV in regards to the tragedy. Or, what about the now defunct Democratic Grass Roots group Onyx? Why can't they find Sticky Fingaz? I'm sure he's working for some Inner-City Social Program now. Bottom line, it's a bunch of bullshit. There are plenty of other artists that would have more positive and constructive things to say than the Ca$h Money Millionares for Equal Opportunity of the California Poly-Technic Institute.

For the first time in awhile, I slept past 10:00AM. For last couple months this is probably the latest i've woke up, especially on a Sunday. Going to go grab some oatmeal, do laundry and clean this filthy hole. My left thumb is sore and prone to bouts of pain from all the NHL 2002 that was played last night at POTG's house. Damn game, so addicting, yet I suck at it (i think I went 2-5 or something). They have seriously crippled the Red Wings, so I had to switch to their more recent rivals, the Avalanche. Suxors.
